Last long weekend notwithstanding, Mondays are normally my day off. By day off I just mean the day that I force myself to do chores and laundry and grocery shopping and all the other stuff that I doesn’t get done while I’m pounding away here at the keyboard. I like having Mondays off because everyone else is back in their cubicle. Less of a crowd at the Laundromat.

In spite of the fact that I took the day off from actual writing, I still got some really critical work done on the final steps of the story. Thanks again to nathan_long for listening to me go “… and then… and then… and then…” over green tea and muffins. Sometimes I just need to say shit out loud to figure out what’s wrong with it and what it needs to make it work.

Having done that, I am fairly certain of exactly how this book is going to wrap up. Now I just have to get there. At least I’ve got clean underwear.
