Here’s a clip of one of the interviews I did for German TV. I have no idea what I’m saying, since I’ve been dubbed into German. The only bit I caught was the quote from Ellroy about the underlying principle of Noir: “You’re fucked.”
OK, I suck. I forgot to post a reminder that my sex.com radio broadcast played last night at 7pm on XM radio channel 154. However all is not lost because you can still hear the rebroadcast on Tuesday the 9th at 4pm (PST). I still don’t know when the show will be available as a streaming video online on sex.com, but I promise you’ll know as soon as I do.
In other news Victor Gicshler has finally checked in with a report on the post-Gustav state of Baton Rouge. It’s not good.

I’m being interviewed by Ciara Parsons and Jason Stuart for sex.com radio tomorrow. You will be able to hear me on XM radio’s National Lampoon radio network 154 on September 4th at 7pm and again on the 9th at 4pm (PST). You will also be able to watch streaming video of the program online. However, the busy little internet elves over at sex.com are currently beavering away setting up the radio homepage and archives so I can’t post a link for that just yet. It will be up and running soon and I’ll post a link and a reminder closer to the date that the streaming video will be available for viewing.
I’ll be appearing on Sex.com radio on August 28th. You’ll be able to watch streaming video as well as listen on their website, so check it out.
I’ve got a story called “The Footjob” in Jennifer Jordan’s new antho UNCAGED, forthcoming from Bleak House Books in spring of 09.
I wrote a short tribute to Richard S. Prather for GQ Magazine’s October Crime Fiction Guide.
And speaking of October, I’m now officially booked for B-Con. I’m also supposed to travel to Germany for the Frankfurt Book Fair to promote the German release of Money Shot. I’ll post more specific details on that soon as I have them.

As promised, I have finally been “revealed” on Clute and Edwards excellent podcast Behind the Black Mask. I always feel kind of self-conscious about verbal interviews, (after all, I’m a writer not a speaker) but other that my slight post-op lisp from all that lovely oral surgery, I guess I did OK.
But hey, don’t take my word for it. Listen for yourself.

Tomorrow I’ll be “revealed” (!) by Shannon Clute and Rich Edwards over at Behind the Black Mask. Actually, I’m just recording the podcast tomorrow and don’t know exactly when I’ll be publicly “revealed.” I’ll let you all know as soon as it’s up.
Incidentally, everything went fine at the dentist. The discomfort is unfortunately normal and to be expected but the area looks like it's healing well. Stitches are out and now it’s just a matter of waiting for the next round.

My NoirCon femme fatale podcast (along with Megan Abbott, Vicki Hendricks, and Jonathan Santlofer) is up on Behind the Black Mask.
Your EAR, not your rear! Listen in as I get dragged In For Questioning.
Well video actually, but that doesn’t have the same snappy alliteration. These two clips are from my Q&A at Partners and Crime in NYC, courtesy of Ron from galleycat.
Incidentally Sue Ann Jaffarian. and I had our first joint reading at the SinC meeting yesterday. We read from each other’s work and talked a little bit about the whole cozy vs. noir thing. It was a lot of fun and I think we’re really gonna have a blast on the rest of our “Naked Ladies” tour. Next stop Seattle. We’ll be at the Seattle Mystery Bookshop (117 Cherry Street Seattle, WA 98104 (206) 587-5737) on February 9th from 12-2pm and hope to see you there.

A few quick links, since that’s pretty much all I’m good for at the moment,
I’m the February guest of honor on the Barnes and Noble Crime Club.
I’ve got a lot of interviews popping up here and there now that MONEY SHOT is out. It’s hard to keep track of them all, but here’s one of my recent favorites, an exclusive “skinterview”
on the legendary celebrity nudie site Mr. Skin.
Last but not least, my very first attempt at fiction podcasting could have gone better. Long story short, I screwed up and sent a truncated version of “Hit Me” to the guy who put the deal together. As a result, the first version of the story is missing the last paragraph. In a story that short, you really, REALLY miss it. Anyway, thanks to the amazing virtual ninjas over at Variant Frequencies, my fuck-up has been fixed and the full story is now available for your listening pleasure. Check it out.
